It’s been a busy summer! Several of us went on a mission trip to West Virginia, we had a great Fourth of July party, Ed organized a successful Vacation Bible School, and tonight our students wrap up Five Knights of Fun. You should be proud of Alex and our students. Our students have joined other youth from the family of churches for an incredible week of fun and a time to focus on spiritual warfare. Bryson has helped lead the worship music each night. I have had the honor of preaching to a great group of youngsters. Please continue to pray for the fruit of both VBS and Five Knights. This summer, we have seen eight people follow the Lord in New Testament baptism. We have seen children baptized, and we have seen ladies in their seventies and eighties baptized. I’m not sure what our budget is for water, but I hope we overspend our budget on water as we continue to fill up the baptismal. As summer is coming to an end, don’t forget to pray for students and teachers as they go back to school.

This Sunday night, we have our Northwood Family of Churches Quarterly prayer meeting at Northwood Baptist East Bay at 5:00 p.m., 4 Blake Street, Charleston, SC 29403. Please plan on attending. This prayer meeting is always a blessing. We will hear report on what God is doing in all our family churches and we will have a time to focus on our new church plant. Please be in prayer for Pastor Logan and plan on attending this important meeting. Our Sunday evening activities will resume August 17th.

We will be participating in the Janie Chapman South Carolina State Missions offering in August and September. Prayer guides and offering envelopes are available. Ms. Francis will share about the offering on Sunday. Speaking of Sunday please join us for Life Connection Group at 9:30 a.m. and worship at 11:00 a.m. We will be jumping back in 1 John cover chapter 3 verses 11-24. Go ahead and make yourself familiar with this passage. We will also have a child dedication on Sunday morning.
