Dear NBC Berkeley Saints,

Yesterday, I was able to attend part of the 274^th Annual Meeting of the Charleston Baptist Association.  It’s exciting to see what God is doing in the Lowcountry through our collective fellowship of churches.  Northwood Baptist East Bay was formally added as a partnering church of the CBA.  Please continue to be in prayer for Logan and God’s work taking place on the Peninsula. This past week, Northwood Berkeley hosted the Quarterly Family of Churches Prayer meeting. It was wonderful having believers from our various Northwood Family of Churches gather for prayer. Thanks for bringing your children!  It was wonderful having the energy in the building and seeing kids both pray and having them watch the adults pray. I HIGHLY encourage you to attend these quarterly prayer meetings, no matter where they are located.

Speaking of last week, we had several ladies participate in the CBA’s Delight Women’s Conference.  I heard some wonderful feedback over the weekend.

Thank you for your prayers for Linda.  Her surgery went well, but please continue to pray for her recovery. She’s still having a bit of a rough time.  Thank you, thank you, thank you for the meal chain that has been taking place. It is wonderful to see God’s people show so much love to our family.

Looking ahead, please be in prayer for our Men’s Camping Trip, which takes place on Friday and Saturday.  Put November 1 on your calendar. That is the day of our Fall Festival.  We are going to have Kingdom Vessels, hot dogs, games, jump castles, an outdoor movie, and tractor rides.  Plan on coming and plan on inviting lots of people.  We will have a prayer walk day where we canvas neighborhoods to pray and advertise.

This coming Sunday, we start a sermon series from Romans. This will be an amazing time of learning, encouragement, and challenge as we both celebrate the Gospel and challenge you to share it.  Our message this week is, ‘Don’t be Ashamed of the Gospel,” from Romans 1:1-17.  Keep on inviting your friends!!
