My name is Jim Packwood.  I serve as volunteer pastor/elder. I am grateful for my Christian parents and the biblical foundation they gave me as a young child.  As an eight year old child, I received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.  

I later graduated from Northeastern State in Oklahoma earning a BA in history, followed by a M Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Seminary. During seminary I met my lovely wife Dawn, and we married two weeks after graduation.  We have three wonderful children Deb, Julie and Josh. 

The Lord has blessed me with many opportunities of ministry, which began as Youth Minister at North Dallas Baptist church, followed by seven years in Texas Baptist Student ministry at SMU, Odessa college and East Texas State A&M. While serving, the Lord called Dawn & me to serve as missionaries to Ecuador with the IMB. I worked in Guayaquil as Baptist bookstore administrator and assisted with growing churches. After 19 years of mission service in Ecuador, we returned to Texas where I served as Single Adult minister at Hunters Glen Baptist Church, Plano, Texas  for 4 years and then 14 years at First Baptist in Sunnyvale, Texas as Missions Minister.
