Hello Northwood Baptist Berkeley,

Last week, Linda and I went to the beach at Kiawah Island. This week we as a congregation are going to Breaker Rock Beach for Vacation Bible School!!

Above is the link to register for Vacation Bible School. Our VBS will take place from 6:00-8:30 p.m., July 15-19. On July 21 we are inviting all participants of VBS and their parents to a Family Fun Day. We will have jumpy castles and lunch on the grounds after our worship service. Please pray about your involvement with VBS. Please pray for Nicole and Hope as they lead VBS and pray for children to hear about Jesus and to be saved. Pray, pray, pray for VBS!!

There will need to be lots of volunteers to set-up for VBS. Please come out as much as you are able to help. Opportunities to help are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday Tonight, Thursday, there will be some people helping set up. Friday night, people will be at the church to help set up as well. Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m.- until, there will be VBS decorating taking place. Grass cutting and weed eating is needed before Sunday. Some of us will have an opportunity to pass out fliers for VBS. So far, the NBC Greenridge Youth and the students from Dallas First Baptist Church have helped promote our VBS through flier distribution.

This Sunday night our Crave Student Ministry will meet but the adults will not meet for discipleship. This Sunday morning, the Northwood Family of Churches will be examining the topic of ‘Wisdom for Work” as we continue our series from Proverbs.

We look like we are getting closer to getting our new church sign! Dennis was able to hang our Discipleship Pathway emblems in the sanctuary. Our coffee bar area has been moved back into our worship center space. Ms. Francis is very happy! I want to leave you with a verse that we would all be wise to both memorize and apply.
