Hello Northwood Berkeley Church Family,

We missed you last Sunday. Linda, Jaden, and I went to Ithaca, New York to spend an extended weekend with my Aunt and Uncle. I am grateful that Jacob Ard, the Assistant Student Director at Northwood Greenridge could kick off our 1 Corinthians series. Jacob participated in Preaching Lab at Greenridge and is now on the teaching rotation for the Student Ministry. This coming Sunday I will be preaching a passage from 1 Corinthians 1:18-2:5 entitled, “The Cross: The Wisdom and the Power of God.”

Speaking of Preaching Lab, Northwood Berkely will host our very own Preaching Lab for the next couple of weeks Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m. Josh Pelletier will be preaching this week. Come out Sunday at 6:00 p.m. We will hear Josh preach, some seasoned preachers will offer constructive feedback, we will have an opportunity to encourage Josh and then we will have a finger food fellowship so bring some finger foods to eat. On Sunday, September 1, James Peebles will be preaching for Preaching Lab. We will have an ice cream fellowship after James preaches. It’s important for churches to develop leaders to serve Christ. Our regular Sunday evening activities of the Crave Student Ministry and Adult Discipleship will start back September 8. Our adult discipleship series will be Old Testament survey.
