Good Afternoon Church Family!
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” – Matthew 28:18-20
Dear Church Family,
God is working in our midst. Since the end of May, we have seen five people identify with Christ through New Testament baptism. This coming Sunday, we will have two more baptisms, and on August 3rd, we have another baptism scheduled. If you have trusted Jesus as Lord for salvation and still need to be baptized, please reach out to me, and we can interact with you about baptism. I praise God that He continues to change lives.
VBS 2025 is upon us. Northwood Baptist Berkeley is having Vacation Bible School this coming week, July 20-24. It’s not too late to sign up or invite children. This coming week is all hands on deck. We have over forty volunteers already slated to minister. Please pray, pray, pray, pray for our workers and children this coming week. Please pray we will see salvation, children learn about Jesus, have fun, and that our workers show to love of Christ to children and families. ALL weekly activities are cancelled this week. We won’t have discipleship, Crave, Kingdom Kids, Great Commission Prayer Meeting, or Senior Souls. Next Sunday, July 27th, we are having a VBS celebration day. Families are invited to hear their children sing a song in worship service, we will have a covered dish supper following worship, and we will have jump castle for our children.
Grace to you,
Pastor Jay
